How to use the Text Compare
- Open the Text Compare in your browser.
- Paste or upload the first version of the file or text into the left panel.
- Paste or upload the second version into the right panel.
- Review the highlighted differences — additions, deletions, and changes are marked automatically.
Tips for getting a good result
- Paste the older version on the left and the newer version on the right so the highlighted colors (additions vs. deletions) line up the way you'd expect.
- For very large files, scan the summary of change counts first, then jump to specific sections rather than reading line-by-line.
- If the diff looks noisier than expected, check whether whitespace or line-ending differences are being counted as changes.
